Engineered for use in high and low temperature environments, subject to shock and vibration, Westek's range of Rack Mount or Desk Top Rugged Computer Servers are ideal for use in hostile environments including military COTS use.

Designed to meet MIL-STD-810F, DEF-STAN 08-123 and DEF STAN 00-35 and similar requirements, and EMC compliance to DEF-STAN 59-411 and MIL-STD-461E; for use in aircraft, mobile or fixed land based systems, transportation and naval environments below decks as well as general use where a ruggedized system is required.

Westek's rugged servers are widely deployed around the world in both military and non military applications including transportation systems above and below ground, military and civilian aircraft, below decks on ships, mobile land based army and other environmentally challenging applications.

These rack mountable rugged computer server systems may be customised to meet your exact requirements and with Westek's rapid ISO9001:2000 design and manufacturing capabilities, completely custom products can be delivered from concept in as little as 8 weeks.

The "MIL" range feature rugged MIL-SPEC rear connectors, special extra tough casework and additional filtering to meet stringent EMC and EMI emission levels for military applications. The "Industrial" range feature standard EMC / EMI CE compliance and provide standard rear PC type connections.

Westek's severs may also be mounted in rugged portable rack cases (see example photo above) and delivered along with optional rugged MIL-SPEC uninterruptable power supply (UPS), fold out keyboard, ball mouse and LCD display or other peripheral devices. A range of portable rugged rack cases are available which provide complete IP65 protection during transportation and added shock resilience.

These systems may be further customised for special applications including wider operating temperature range, specific interfaces and input / output devices, and for Tempest (through specialist partners).

Westek also offers a full range of military specification test and verification services to provide independent fully certified testing of tolerance to shock, vibration, operating environment and EMC emissions.
